Graduate Nurse Program

Graduate Registered Nurses

Kerang District Graduate Nursing Program provides the opportunity for candidates to consolidate their learnings in a busy small rural health service that is determined to be innovative and amazing!

A minimum of four (4) fixed term, 12 month positions are available with rotations through the Acute Ward, District Nursing, Theatre, Oncology and Residential Aged Care Facility. Graduate Nurses are employed 8 shifts per fortnight.

We offer a wide range of professional development opportunities to prepare new graduates for the workforce. The graduate nursing program runs for 12 months and includes clinical rotations at a variety of departments.

 

Opportunities and Benefits:

  • Graduate nurse study days, in a brand new state of the art simulation room
  • A taster in a wide range of departments with rotations through Acute Ward, District Nursing, Theatre, Oncology and Residential Aged Care
  • Dedicated supernumerary days for each rotation
  • Ongoing permanent contracts post probationary period (application required)
  • Professional development opportunities including the opportunity to become competent at cannula insertion, Advanced Life Support and introductory triage.
  • Regular debrief sessions with other Graduate Nurses
  • Access to regular feedback from Clinical Educators and Nurse Unit Managers.

Graduate Enrolled Nurses

Kerang District Graduate Nursing Program provides the opportunity for candidates to consolidate their learnings in a busy small rural health service that is determined to be innovative and amazing!
A minimum of four (4) fixed term, 12 month positions are available with rotations through the Acute Ward and Residential Aged Care Facility, with the ability to gain exposure in areas such as Theatre, District Nursing and the Medical Clinic. Graduate Nurses are employed 8 shifts per fortnight.

We offer a wide range of professional development opportunities to prepare new graduates for the workforce. The graduate nursing program runs for 12 months and includes clinical rotations at a variety of departments.
