Our medical practitioners provide medical care to patients by appointment at the clinic and also provide Visiting Medical Officer services to Kerang District Health inpatients and Urgent care (emergency) patients attending the hospital in Burgoyne Street, Kerang.

Appointments

Please phone the practice for an appointment, 03 5450 8060, or book via HotDoc either online or with the phone app.

Longer appointments are available if you have more than one issue to discuss. 

Please advise reception staff and they will assist you to make the appropriate appointment.

A limited number of appointments are held for each day for urgent on day needs. 

Emergencies will be given priority.

Please notify the clinic if you are unable to attend your appointment at least one hour prior to your appointment time.

Fees and Billing Arrangements

All fees are to be paid on the day at the time of your attendance. The clinic does not keep accounts.

Your Medicare claim will be sent by Clinic staff so that your rebate is returned to your bank account promptly.

Bulk billing is available to Aged or Disability pension card holders, DVA gold card, children under 18 and ATSI.

Standard consultation fee is $85            Medicare rebate $39.10

Short consultation fee is $45                  Medicare rebate $17.90

Long consultation fee is $130                 Medicare rebate $75.75

Broken Appointments

Failure to attend your appointments without prior notice will incur a fee of $50 on each occasion after you have been notified of breaking your first appointment.

After Hours and Emergency Care

For after hours care call Kerang District Health on 03 5450 9200.

The nursing staff will assess you and call the on call doctor if required.

All afterhours call outs will be privately billed per the Medicare rebate plus $50 out of pocket. 

For all emergencies call the Ambulance Victoria on “000”.

Test Results

The clinic will contact you if your test results indicate that you require follow up.

Staff will call you to ensure you are seen in a timely manner in accordance with the doctors’ instructions.

Results will not be given over the phone.

Management of Patient Health Information

Our practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your health information.

A full copy of our Privacy policy can be obtained from reception.

My Health Record

Ask the staff if you would like the doctor to upload a shared summary of your history to My Health Record.

Your history summary will be available to other health professionals throughout Australia should the need arise.
